The following professional regulations apply: German Federal Code for Patent Attorneys (PAO), Professional Code of Conduct for Patent Attorneys, Code of Professional Conduct of the FICPI, Code of Professional Conduct of the epi, provisions of the Council Regulation on Community Trademarks. These regulations can all be found on the websites of the Chamber of Patent Attorneys, the Federation Internationale des Conseils en Propriete Industrielle (FICPI) and the Institute of Professional Representatives before the EPO (epi).

PROFESSIONAL INDEMNITY INSURANCE

There is professional liability insurance with Allianz Versicherungs-AG, D-10900 Berlin, with the geographical scope of the insurance cover including activities in the member states of the European Union and at least meeting the requirements of Secs. 45, 45a of the German Federal Code for Patent Attorneys (PAO).

DISPUTE RESOLUTION:

EU platform for out-of-court online dispute resolution. There is no legal obligation to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board in accordance with the Act on Alternative Dispute Resolution in Consumer Matters (VSBG).
